Man-made wonders show us the history and wisdom of our human beings, as well as the development of technology.
1. wonder
（1）名词，意为“奇观；奇迹”，是可数名词。
例如：The pyramids are one of the Eight Wonders of the World.
金字塔是世界八大奇迹之一。
（2）名词，意为“惊叹；惊奇”，是不可数名词。
例如：The boy looked at the sky with wonder.
那个男孩惊奇地看着天空。
探究·导学
（3）动词，意为“想知道”，后面接 who， what， why， where，if 等引导的宾语从句或“疑问词＋不定式”构成的短语。
例如：
We just wondered how to do it.
我们只是想知道如何做它。
　(2) discussion 名词，意为“讨论”，其动词形式是discuss，意为“讨论；商讨”。
We had a discussion on how to learn English yesterday afternoon.

wonder此处作可数名词，意为“奇观；奇迹”。natural wonder意为“自然奇观”，man-made wonder意为“人造奇观”。

wonder作动词，意为“想知道”，相当于want to know，后面常接宾语从句。
