I'm going to make two resolutions.
First, I'll read one English book every month to improve my reading skills. To keep this, I'll go to the library every Sunday to borrow a book and set a 30-minute reading time before bed each day.
Second, I'll run for 20 minutes every morning to stay fit. I'll put my running shoes next to my bed at night, so I can see them and remember to run when I wake up.

Resolutions can be about anything. Some are about physical health. For example, some people may promise to exercise more or eat more healthily. Some resolutions have to do with learning new things. People might decide they are going to take up a hobby, like painting or photography. And some resolutions have to do with self-improvement, like becoming more confident or organized. For example, a student may decide to start a new study plan.

Paragraph 4
Discuss the questions.
1e
Post-reading
1. Do you think it is useful to make resolutions
Why or why not
2. Do you like to plan ahead or do things at the last moment Why
I think making resolutions is useful. Resolutions help us set clear goals.
For example, if we make a resolution to study English for 30 minutes every day, we can develop good habits and make progress slowly. They also give us direction. When we know what we want to achieve, we are more likely to work hard.
However, the key is to keep them realistic. If a resolution is too difficult, we may give up easily. So as long as we make reasonable resolutions and stick to them, they can be very helpful.
Question 1
Example
I like to plan ahead. Planning ahead makes me feel organized.
For instance, if I have a math test next week, I can make a study plan and review a little each day. This way, I won’t feel stressed at the last minute. Planning also helps me use time better. I can finish tasks step by step and have more time to relax or do other things I like. Doing things at the last moment often makes me rush and make mistakes. So planning ahead is a better choice for me.
Question 2
Do you have any plans recently
plans
study regularly
play football after school
read books for thirty minutes
help with the housework every day
take part in the summar camp
