Do your eyes jump a few times a second over a period of time A jumping eye can happen to anybody at any time. There are several reasons for a jumping eye. Let’s have a look at it!
Tiredness Not getting enough sleep or working for too long without rest may cause our eyes to complain. Scientists aren’t sure why, but they’ve found that getting more rest will make our eyes feel better. Remember not to stay up late.
Dry eyes More and more people work office jobs that require a lot of sitting and starting at a computer screen. This unhealthy way of life can lead to dry eye syndrome (DES干眼症). When our eyes are too dry, they can’t help jumping to keep them wet. To stay away from DES, use eye drops if you use the computer for more than seven hours a day and make sure to look away from the screen once every 20 minutes.
Stress (压力) This is the number-one reason for a jumping eye. It does harm to our eyes if it lasts for too long. When we’re under a lot of stress, the body gives out stress hormones (荷尔蒙) which leads to a “fight or flight” response (回应). To solve the problem, we can see our friends or relax ourselves in order to reduce the stress that might lead to jumping eyes.
26.How can we stay away from DES according to the passage
A.Keep staring at the computer screen.
B.Use eye drops as often as possible.
C.Look away from the screen once every 20 minutes.
D.Use the computer for more than seven hours every day.
27.What can stress do to us according to Table (表格)3
A.Stress is good when we go to see our friends.
B.Too much stress might be harmful to our eyes.
C.A lot of stress helps our body relax.
D.Too much stress is always important to our eyes.
28.What does the writer try to explain in this passage
A.Three reasons why we have jumping eyes.
B.The number-one reason for a jumping eye.

Most of the world’s progress is made by the few pioneers who break barriers (阻碍), reach new distances, and find a new path. They are the few brave enough to believe in the seemingly impossible and try their best to make it possible. Once they do this, they open the gates for others to follow.
A powerful example of this is Roger Bannister, who in 1954, broke the four-minute mile barrier with a record of 3 minutes, 59.4 seconds. Before Bannister succeeded, the thought was considered not only dangerous but impossible. But Bannister did not pay attention to it, he developed within himself a certainty that it was achievable, even though there was no evidence (证据) to suggest it. In fact, there was a lot of evidence to suggest it wasn’t achievable. But his belief to success allowed him to train for years to his end goal.
On 6 May, 1954, Bannister’s remarkable achievement created a new wisdom. Just 24 days later, the barrier was broken again and in the last 50 years, more than 1,000 other runners have achieved the feat (成就). It was not that these runners had improved physical (身体的) qualities from the runners who had tried and failed before them, but that they had improved psychological (心理的) qualities. They had proof (证明) of the possible.
Sometimes we do need to see it to believe it. But if we care about stories of problems and failures, it can be difficult to see beyond them. Those people who achieve extraordinary things do not accept the current standards, they break the barriers of “what is” and push beyond them to “what could be”. Through learning from those who break barriers, we too can make our own potentials come true - to be a powerful force for good.

Why play games Because they are fun, and a lot more besides. Following the rules, planning your next move, acting as a team member, these are all “game” ideas that you will have throughout your life.
Think about some games, such as rope-jumping and hide-and-seek. They are fun. But more importantly, they translate life into exciting dreams that teach children some rules to follow the rest of their lives, such as taking turns and teamwork.
Many children’s games have a practical side. Games prepare them for future work. For example, some Saudi Arabian children play a game called bones. It can exercise their hands and eyes, which is needed in hunting.
Many sports encourage national or local pride (自豪). The most famous games of all, the Olympic Games, bring athletes (运动员) from the world together to take part in the friendly competition. People who watch the games wave flags, knowing that a gold medal is a win for a whole country, not just the athlete. For countries experiencing natural disasters (灾难) or war, an Olympic win can mean so much.
Sports are also an event that brings people together. People across the world play soccer—some for fun and some for a living. Nicolette Iribarne, a Californian soccer player, has discovered a way to spread hope through soccer. He set up an organization to provide poor children with not only soccer balls but also a hopeful future.
Next time, when you play your favorite game or sport, think about why you enjoy it, what skills are needed, and whether these skills will help you in your life.

A.describe life in an exciting way

A.The most famous games are the Olympic Games.

C.The game called bones can be helpful to the Arabian children.
D.Nicolette Iribarne gives poor children a chance for a better life.
