辅音连缀
在英语词汇中,如果有两个或两个以上的辅音音素结合在一起,这种语法现象称为辅音连缀。辅音连缀发生在词首,词中和词尾。如:
词首 blue 词中 basketball 词尾 desk
读辅音连缀时,两个辅音不能有停顿,几乎同时发音,前面的辅音必须读得轻一些,短促些。

在英语句子中,实词(如名词、动词、形容词、副词等)承载重要信息,一般需要重读;
重读(stress)
Please pass me the book.(强调把“书”递给我,而不是把别的东西给我)
Please pass the book to me.(强调把书递给“我”,而不是给其他人)
而充当语法功能的词(如冠词、连词、介词、助动词等)一般弱读。
但这条读音规律并非一成不变,句子中的重音可以随着说话者要表达的意思的变化而变化。

A: She will.(坚信她一定“会”赢)
一般情况下,me、will 等功能词在句中弱读,但在上述情境中这两个词需要重读。

句子重音
句子重音可分为三类:表意重音,逻辑重音和情感重音。
表意重音 表意重音是一种非常普遍的现象。一般来说,在句子中需重读的词都是实词,不重读的词多为虚词或结构词。
逻辑重音 逻辑重音的作用是表达说话者的意愿,说话者可以把重音放在想要强调的任何单词上。
情感重音 情感重音是一种特殊的重音。在口语中,当说话者想要表达强烈的情感时,他会把强重音放在他想要强调的词上。
语音知识小节——重音单词的规律
Sentence Stress(句子重音 )里,通常需要重读的是实义词,像名词(如 redwood、California )、实义动词(除 be 动词等功能词外,如 visited )、形容词、副词(如 several )、数词、疑问词,以及因对比、强调需求要突出的词;
不需要重读的多是起连接、辅助作用的语法功能词,像冠词(the/a/an )、介词(in/on 等 )、连词(and/but 等 )、代词(I/you 等 )、be 动词与助动词(am/is/are 等 );
通过重音突出关键信息,能让表意更精准、听辨更清晰、口语更自然,可通过模仿跟读、造句、对比辨析来练习掌握 。
