当需要对两个人或物进行比较时,需要用到形容词或副词的比较级。在含有“比较级+than”的句型中,当than 前后所使用的实义动词相同时,通常用助动词代替后面的实义动词,该实义动词或助动词有时可以省略。常见的句型有:
3. 形容词和副词的比较级的用法和句型
My bike is newer than Tom’s (bike).
我的自行车比汤姆的(自行车)新。
He is more hard-working than me/ I.
他比我更勤奋。
A+ be 动词+ 形容词比较级+ than+ B.
She has longer hair than her sister (does).
她的头发比她妹妹的长。
He runs faster than Tom (does).
他跑得比汤姆快。
A+实义动词+形容词比较级+名词+than +B.
③ A+实义动词+副词比较级+than+B.
注意：
可以修饰比较级的词或短语有：a little 和 a bit 表示“更……一点”; much、a lot和far表示“……得多”; even表示“甚至……”。

在比较级前常用 much, a lot, far, even, a little, a bit, still 等词来修饰，表示程度。
