Your ideas
Imagine that you read a post by Wang Mei, who is on an exchange trip in New Zealand. She doesn’t feel good and misses her family. Write a message to cheer her up.
P79 4
Start with a warm greeting to show care;
Say you get how she feels first;
Tell her about fun things she can do in New Zealand;
End with support.
Hi Wang Mei,
I’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling good. It must be hard to be so far from home and miss your family - that’s totally normal when you’re in a new place!
I remember you told me how excited you were to go to New Zealand. Maybe try doing one small fun thing today, like exploring a nearby park or trying a new snack. It might make you feel a little better.
Your family must be really proud of you for being brave and having this adventure. And before you know it, you’ll have so many cool stories to tell them when you’re back.
Take care of yourself, and I’m here if you want to talk more!
Best wishes,
Li Hua
