In many people's eyes, plants are quiet. They can't talk. They can't walk. And they can't think like us. A new TV show gives us a new look at plants. It tells us the secret of plants and the wonderful ways that plants work.
Plants compete against each other to live. In the rainforests, different kinds of plants compete for sunlight. The forest floor is described as a "battlefield". Only two per cent of the sunlight gets through it. Some plants spread their big leaves to reach light. But other plants may catch them up and get a lift. Finally, they are both overtaken(被超过) by a fast-growing tree. Similarly, some trees may give out something to protect themselves.
Plants also help each other and even communicate. In deserts, if a tree finds water, it will share it with others. Studies also show that plants use fungus(真菌) in the soil as a way to“talk”to each other. It's kind of like how Wi-Fi works. If a tomato plant gets a leaf disease, it can tell nearby plants about it.

Koalas are often called koala bears, but they are not bears. They have small eyes, a big nose and round ears. And they have no tails. They can run as fast as a rabbit. They can also climb trees very well.
Koalas live in eucalyptus trees(桉树) and feed on the tree leaves. They usually sleep about 20 hours a day. The word "koala"means "no drink" because they don't drink water very often. They get all the water they need from the yummy leaves they eat.
A koala mum usually has one baby at a time. When the baby is born, it is only 2 cm long. It has no hair, no ears, and can't see anything.
