Some parents think childhood(童年)is just for playing,so they don't ask their children to do housework. Some parents think that their children get much schoolwork every day, and they are too busy to do housework. Some parents say, "I know it's wrong, but it's quicker to do it by myself " Other parents believe that doing housework is a way of teaching kids responsibility(责任). Children learn to help, share and care about others by doing housework. Most experts (专家) think that there are some reasons for doing housework:
★To learn responsibility: Kids who do more housework are always ready to help others.
★To share the work together: Kids who help to clean won't make a big mess in a family.
★To learn skills: Kids will learn how to cook, clean and do other things in the house.
If the child has much schoolwork after school, the time for housework may be really short. So, parents should know how much homework a child already has, and plan housework carefully. Be sure of more housework on weekends but not on weekdays. And some families also find a good solution: doing some easy housework together each night, for example, putting away clothes and gets everyone to make a cleaner family.
