On September 3, 2025, China held a big military parade (阅兵仪式) in Tian’anmen Square. It was to mark the 80th anniversary (周年纪念日) of winning the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (抗日战争) and the World Anti-Fascist War (反法西斯战争). This event was very important to all Chinese people.
The parade had two main parts and lasted about 70 minutes. There were 45 teams in total (总共). They were air flag teams, foot teams, equipment teams (装备方队) and so on. All the weapons (武器) shown were made in China, and many new kinds appeared (出现) for the first time.
This parade was very meaningful. First, it helped people remember history and respect (尊重) the heroes who died (死亡) for our country. Second, it showed how modern (现代化的) our military is and its ability (能力) to keep our country safe.
