(2) a sense of（一种… 的感觉）;
固定搭配：a sense of + 抽象名词（如责任、幽默、方向等）

(1) not only...but also…（不仅… 而且…）
当not only...but also..连接的两个并列成分作主语时,谓语动词的数要与邻近的主调保持一致,即遵循“就近原则”
e.g. She not only speaks English, but also writes it fluently.
她不仅会说英语，还能流利地书写。
Not only the students but also the teacher is interested in the project.
不仅学生，老师也对这个项目感兴趣。（谓语动词与 teacher 一致）
拓展（倒装用法）:当 not only 置于句首时，前半句需部分倒装：
(2) be beneficial to...（对…… 有益）
e.g. Regular exercise is beneficial to both physical and mental health.
定期锻炼对身心健康都有益。
拓展: benefit n.（好处；益处）
v.（使受益；受益）benefit sb./sth; benefit from/by...从…… 中受益
e.g. Working abroad has many benefits, such as learning a new culture.
海外工作有很多好处，比如学习新的文化。
Students can benefit greatly from reading widely.
学生能从广泛阅读中受益匪浅。
4.Our hands and feet learn to cooperate with each other.
我们的手脚学会相互配合。
cooperate with（和… 合作）(in doing sth.), 强调 “与某人协作完
成某事”，侧重团队合作
e.g. We need to cooperate with each other to solve the problem.
我们需要相互合作来解决这个问题。
The company cooperates with universities in scientific research.
这家公司与大学在科研方面合作。

as a result 结果;因此（表示结果,其后一般用逗号隔开。）
as a result of + 原因（后接名词 / 动名词）作为...的结果
表示原因,相当于because of,后常跟名词或代词。
e.g. He didn’t prepare for the exam; as a result, he failed.
他没有复习考试，结果不及格。
As a result of the heavy rain, the game was canceled.
由于大雨，比赛被取消了。

whether conj. 不论，不管...（还是）
常与or (not) 连用，引导让步状语从句
e.g. Whether you travel alone or team up with friends ,it
depends on you.
无论你是独自旅行还是和朋友组队,这都取决于你。
whether conj. 是否; 引导宾语从句：
whether + 陈述句（=if，常与 or not 连用）
whether to do sth. 是否做某事
注意：whether 可引导主语 / 表语 / 同位语从句，而 if 通常不引导
e.g. I wonder whether he will come or not.
我想知道他是否会来。（宾语从句，可替换为 if，但 or not 不可省略）
Whether we can succeed depends on our efforts.
我们能否成功取决于努力。（主语从句，不可用 if）
She asked me whether to bring an umbrella today.
她问我今天是否要带伞。
