我们常用 more ... than 和 fewer/less ... than 对事物的数量进行比较,表示“比……多” 和“比……少”。
数量的比较
e.g. He has more friends than me. 他的朋友比我多。
Robin has fewer books than me. 罗宾的书比我少。
We drink less coffee than tea. 我们喝咖啡不如喝茶多。
注意:表示“比……多”时,无论可数或不可数名词都用 more 修饰;而表示“比……少” 时,可数名词用 fewer 修饰,不可数名词用 less 修饰。
我们常用 the most 和 the fewest/least 对事物的数量进行比较,表示“最多”和“最少”。
e.g. Nancy found the most signs. 南希找到的标志最多。
Wendy joined the fewest clubs in our class.
温蒂在我们班参加的俱乐部最少。
Kitty finishes the least work of us three.
我们三个人中基蒂完成的工作最少。
