My Dream Job as a Paper-cutting Teacher
Different people have different dream jobs. As for me, my dream job is to be a paper-cutting teacher.
Paper-cutting is an old Chinese folk art with a history of over 1,500 years. Artists use scissors to cut red paper into beautiful shapes, like fish and flowers. It always carries good wishes for people.I want to be a paper-cutting teacher because I love this art so much. Now, not many young people know about it. I hope to teach more kids to make paper-cuts and let them feel its beauty.
To make my dream come true, I’ll practice hard every day and learn more from my grandma who is good at paper-cutting.Then I can join paper-cutting clubs. On weekends, I’ll also go to the community center to teach kids simple paper-cutting patterns, like rabbits and lanterns. It will be fun to see their happy faces when they finish their own works. Besides, I’ll share my paper-cuts with my classmates and tell them the stories behind each design, so more of them can love this art.
I hope one day I can have my own small class. I’ll help more people know about this great traditional art and keep it alive. I believe that with my efforts, more and more people will fall in love with paper-cutting, and this beautiful Chinese tradition will be passed down forever.
