在英语词汇中，如果有两个或两个以上的辅音音素结合在一起，这种语法现象称为辅音连缀。辅音连缀发生在词首，词中和词尾。如：
词首 blue 词中 basketball 词尾 desk
读辅音连缀时，两个辅音不能有停顿，几乎同时发音，前面的辅音必须读得轻一些，短促些。
