Venus Flytrap
- Feature：It is a famous carnivorous plant with many small tentacles on its leaves. Once an object touches the flytrap, the leaves will automatically close and trap the object inside, and the closing speed of the leaves is extremely fast, less than one second .
- Distribution：They are only found in an area along the coasts of North Carolina and South Carolina in the United States .

When an insect touches its tiny hairs twice, the leaves shut in less than a second, faster than any other plant’s reaction!That’s so interesting. A Venus flytrap can live up to 20 years. In its lifetime, one plant may eat tons of insects like flies and spiders. This not only helps it survive（生存） in nutrient-poor soil but also plays an important part in controlling insect numbers.
Its clever "trap" makes it the most amazing plant. It shows how nature creates special ways for life to grow.
