It was in the 12th century BCE. Paris was a young prince from the city of Troy and he was the son of the Trojan king. One day, he decided to visit the Greek city of Sparta, so he got on a ship and sailed there with his men.
Queen Helen and the King of Sparta welcomed Paris. Later at a dinner, Queen Helen and Paris fell in love with each other. The King of Sparta had to go away from Sparta for a few days. After he left, Paris took Helen to his ship. His men also stole a lot of gold from Sparta. They sailed back to Troy, and the people of the city welcomed them.

The King of Sparta was very angry, so he asked many other Greek kings to help him fight Troy. Many Greek ships carried the large Greek army across the sea. They wanted to get Helen back and punish the Trojans. This was the beginning of the Trojan War. The war lasted for about 10 years. It finally ended when the Greeks captured the city by using the Trojan Horse.
Several centuries later, different stories about the Trojan War were written down. Many of these stories are still very famous today.

Rhythm (strong and weak sounds)
In stressed syllables, the pronunciation of the vowels is clear and long. The pronunciation of the vowels in unstressed syllables is unclear and short. This adds rhythm to words and sentences when we speak.
节奏(重读和弱读)
在重读音节中,元音的发音清晰且长。非重读音节中元音的发音不那么清晰且短。在我们说话时,重读和弱读会给单词和句子增添节奏感。

核心区别:重读 syllable 里的元音 “清晰且长”弱读 syllable 里的元音 “模糊且短”。
例:'apple 中 / / 发音饱满 a'way 中 / / 轻读
重读单词: Nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs
非重读单词: Articles, pronouns, prepositions, conjunctions, etc
2.节奏作用:说话时,重读词(名词、动词等)突出,弱读词(介词、助词等)衔接。
例: I go to school.
重读 “我、去、学校”,弱读 “to”,形成 “重 - 轻 - 重” 的起伏感,让表达更有节奏。
(1) There’s a huge wooden horse outside the city.
(2) At night, all the Trojans celebrated in the main square.
(3)For ten years, the Greeks could not capture the city by fighting.

文案:
The Greek city-state of Sparta was situated on a beautiful seaside. The Trojan Prince, Paris, visited Sparta. The Spartan King, Menelaus, warmly received him. At the banquet, the beautiful Spartan Queen, Helen, danced passionately. Helen and Prince Paris fell in love at first sight. Prince Paris insisted on taking Helen back to Troy. So the two fled Sparta overnight and returned to Troy by ship. King Menelaus was furious when he learned of their elopement. He swore to launch an army to conquer Troy and retrieve Helen. The Spartan king gathered thousands of warships to attack Troy. War broke out, and the Spartan army laid siege to Troy. The battle was extremely fierce, and the Spartans launched powerful attacks. However, they failed to break through Troy's defenses and suffered heavy casualties. So, the Spartans devised a clever plan. They built a huge wooden horse and hid elite soldiers inside. The Trojans, believing the horse was a gift from the gods, happily brought it into their city. That night, the heavily armed soldiers emerged from the wooden horse. They opened the city gates to welcome the Spartan army. The Spartan army surged into Troy and engaged in fierce battles with the Trojan army. In the end, the Spartans defeated the Trojans and sacked the city of Troy.
