I went to the United States at the beginning of 2025 as a teacher there to study and do research.
Just like Sara and Eric , I lived with a host family and felt surprised and a little uncomfortable because of the cultural differences. At first, it was hard for me to get used to the new life. I didn’t really like the local food, I often felt alone, and sometimes I couldn’t understand the casual words people used. Sometimes others didn’t understand me either.
But luckily, my host family was very kind and helpful. They treated me just like a family member. I was really moved by their warmth and care. This trip became a special memory that changed me and taught me a lot!
Feeling very grateful, she did something to show her gratitude.
gave them a hug
cooked them a meal
sent them some presents
wrote them
