故事概要要求用最简洁的语言概括故事的主要内容。一篇梗概通常包括:故事发生的时间、地点、主要人物、事件和故事的结局。
本写作要求写一篇故事梗概,属于记叙文;
时态用一般现在时,人称以第三人称为主。
在写故事概要的时候,我们可以使用连接词,如but、then、thus、yet、though、therefore、while、a …later、now等。
故事概要可以以“The story is about…”开头。
The story is about Emma, a new student. She feels lonely. In the library, Emma writes a magic story and puts her notebook on a shelf. A week later, her notebook is still on the shelf. Then she opens it. She finds pages of new writing by different people. The students ask her to start a writing group. Emma is very happy. Now she has friends.
1. Oliver is awake at midnight. Oliver半夜醒着。
awake adj. 醒着的
在句中作表语,可与be动词或stay等动词连用。
e.g. Jane, is your sister awake or asleep
Jane, 你妹妹是醒着还是睡着了?
【拓展】awake v. (使)醒来
wake v. 醒来;叫醒
都可作及物动词,后面直接跟宾语。都可作不及物
动词,但wake常与副词up连用,而awake不可。
e.g. Keep your voice down! Try not to wake the baby up.

appear 还可作系动词,意为“似乎,好像;显得”。
相当于seem,常用结构有appear + adj.,appear to do sth.和it appears (that) ...。
