一、 教学内容分析
课型:听说课(教材P88;P91)
【主题和内容(What)】听力语篇的主要内容是旅行社代理人Miss Zhou推介亚洲三个著名城市。Miss Zhou主要介绍北京、新加坡和曼谷三个城市的著名旅游景点、当地食物和推荐的原因,让听者对这三个城市有初步的认知和了解。Speaking部分要求学生角色扮演旅行社代理人和游客,旅行社代理人向游客推荐自己城市或家乡的活动,并提供了提问角度和示范对话。
【意义和价值(Why)】Miss Zhou以旅行社代理人的视角向听者介绍亚洲的三个著名城市。针对顾客的不同需要,Miss Zhou通过突出每个城市的独特之处(如北京的历史、新加坡的绿化、曼谷的文化)吸引不同类型游客的兴趣。通过介绍美食(北京烤鸭、海南鸡饭、泰国菜)增强游客的体验期待,激发顾客对这三座城市兴趣。语篇传递出作者对这三座城市的热爱之情,同时也激发学生了解其他亚洲城市的兴趣。
【方式和方法(How)】听力语篇分为三个部分,每个部分介绍一座城市,主要从 “popular tourist spots” 和“famous local food”两个角度切入。为了拉近距离,增强互动感和照顾顾客的需求,在进行介绍时,Miss Zhou使用了If条件状语从句(If you visit Beijing, you can see museums, palaces and parks.)、推荐句式(I recommend …; You can …)和词块(… are a must-see; be famous for…)来吸引游客参观这几座城市。Speaking的示范对话中同样也运用了条件状语从句(If you want to see …, you can…)推荐景点。
二、学情分析
1. 【Know】初一阶段许多学生有旅游经历,对旅游这个主题比较熟悉。通过对主阅读的学习,学生初步了解了旅游指南的内容角度和语言风格。但是学生对亚洲其他的著名城市的了解不深,也缺乏描述景点和活动的语言知识储备。
2. 【Want to know】学生想在情境中了解亚洲其他城市的主要旅游景点和当地美食,学会推荐著名的旅游目的地。
3. 【Need to learn】学生能够获取三个亚洲著名城市的相关信息,以对话的形式谈论旅游目的地并给出恰当的出行建议。
三、教学目标
通过本课的学习,学生能够:
1. 运用恰当的听力技巧,获取三个亚洲著名城市的相关信息。
2. 积累主题相关表达,学会按需推荐旅游目的地和活动。
四、设计理念
本节课的情境设计沿用书本阅读练习中出现的人物Kelly。Kelly一家人想游览亚洲著名城市,Kelly父母在网上搜集信息并联系旅行社代理人咨询,旅行社代理人Miss Zhou推荐了北京、曼谷、新加坡这三座城市。在完成听力文本练习后,学生能总结出城市旅游推介的内容和推荐的句式。在输出环节,学生能结合所学知识,陈述自己这三座城市中最喜欢的旅游景点。最后能以旅行社代理人的身份,向Kelly提供广州旅游的建议。
五、教学过程
Stage Stage aim Learning Activities Assessment Evidence
Revision Students will review what they learned in the previous session, particularly how to recommend places of interest. Review what we learnt in the previous session by answering questions. —What can you see if you visit Shanghai —What can you learn in Xintiandi —What can you see in the Bund —Who will be interested in Yu Garden Students can answer the questions and share their thoughts actively.
Lead-in Students will be engaged in the class. 1. Provide the context. Kelly’s parents plan to take the whole family to famous cities in Asia. They searched some information online and asked Miss Zhou, a travel agent, for advice. Students can be interested in the topic.
Pre-listening Students will be able to activate their prior knowledge and their interest will be aroused. 1. Know more about the three places through watching a video and Q&A. —Look at the pictures. Do you know what they are —What are these cities famous for —What else do you know about them —Do you want to know more about them —What else do you want to know about them Students can answer the questions and share their thoughts actively.
While-listening Students will be able to note down key information and complete the notes. Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 2. —How did Miss Zhou introduce a city What did she talk about Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 3. 3. Answer the following questions: —Which city should customer 1/2/3 visit Why —What sentence structures are used to give suggestions Students can note down key words and complete the notes.
Post-listening Students will be able to read the script aloud and learn some useful expressions. Read the tape script together to get more familiar with the three cities and grasp some useful expressions. Students can read the script aloud and learn some useful expressions.
Speaking Students will be able to share their thoughts based on what they have learnt. They can suggest suitable destinations and activities. Think and share: Which tourist spot there would you most like to visit Why 2. What will Miss Zhou talk about Guangzhou 3. Role-play: Suppose you’re Miss Zhou, a travel agent, and you need to introduce your hometown Guangzhou to Kelly. Give advice on what to do/see in the city. 4. Peer-review students’ performance based on the checklist. Students practise in pairs and share their thoughts. Review other students’ performance in class.
Summary Students will be able to sum up what they’ve learnt today. Talk about what we’ve learnt today. Students can share their thoughts actively.
Homework Students will be able to review what they learnt in class and prepare for the next period. They will apply their learning to real-world tasks. Must: ①模仿录音,朗读听力语篇和P91speaking内容。 Optional: ①搜集其他亚洲著名旅游城市的相关信息,并向同学介绍。
