Monument of Love －Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal in India is one of the most wonderful
buildings in the world. The number of people who
visit it is about 2 to 4 million every year. There
is a love story behind the world-famous building.
On 17th June, 1631, Mumtaz Mahal died in
childbirth(分娩). Her husband, Emperor Shah Jahan,
loved her so much that he built the Taj Mahal for her.
It was built between 1632 and 1653 by over twenty thousand people.
The world has lost one of the most respected
leaders. Nelson Mandela, former South Africa
president, passed awayon Dec. 5 at the age of
