a pair of 后面常跟复数名词,表示由两个部分构成一个整体的物品。如:
服饰类:a pair of socks 一双袜子,a pair of trousers 一条裤子;
工具、用品类:a pair of scissors 一把剪刀,
a pair of glasses 一副眼镜;
身体部位相关:a pair of eyes 一双眼睛,a pair of ears 一对耳朵;
其他:a pair of earrings 一对耳环,a pair of wings 一对翅膀。
注意:当需要表达的数量大于“一”时,要改变pair 的形式,而后面的名词形式不变,谓语动词取决于pair的单复数。
