Activity 3a provides several occupations for reference and activity 3b lists questions for students to use during the interview. Since the interview content is related to the daily work and rest of different occupations, they will naturally use the language to describe the daily activities and specific time in the communication. Activity 3c requires students to compile the information obtained from the interview into a report and then present it to the class.WhyStudents need to use the third person singular form of the simple present tense verb in the report. The project activities help students consolidate what they have learned in this unit and improve their written and oral expression skills. More importantly, they can improve their understanding of the unit theme and shift their vision from school life to broader social life so that they can better understand social life and the challenges they need to face in different professionals. This can enhance students’ understanding of society and show respect for the busy pace of life of different professionals.HowStudents can choose police officers, teachers, farmers, journalists and other professional groups as interview subjects according to their interests and needs. They can design interview questions: Students need to design a series of interview questions around various aspects of daily life. Then Students need to conduct face-to-face English interviews with the selected subjects in class or after class to record their daily life and schedule. They can analyze the information obtained from the interview, and summarize the daily life rules and time arrangements of different occupational groups. Finally they can complete a survey report according to the interview results in group, which includes three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion.In this project, students need to actively participate in interview activities, and improve their English ability and comprehensive quality through practice. At the same time, students can share their learning results and experiences through project reports and presentations to improve their comprehensive literacy. Ask them to guess their professions and daily routines. Enjoy the song and find out the professions and their daily routines in the lyrics. Ask Ss to select an interviewee, who can be a police officer, a teacher, a farmer, a journalist or someone else. Select interviewees in 3a, list the question outlines.
