Many people have some kind of fear. Examples include a fear of heights and a fear of attending social events. What kind of fear do you have
Fear of not doing well in your schoolwork

Fear of a kind of sport / activity

If we talk to others about our fears, this sometimes influences our personal (n. 私人的) relationships. But on the other hand, they may offer us advice, support us and understand us. Finally, the problem may be not a problem at all.

Listen to the conversation and choose the main idea.

Listening for tone
The tone of a speaker’s voice can tell us how they feel. For example, when someone says “fine” with a cheerful tone, it means they are happy. However, an uncertain tone might show doubt.

Offering comfort
When someone is unhappy, it’s important to comfort them. It shows that you understand how they feel. Helpful expressions include I’m sorry to hear that, That sounds difficult and I see.
