在上一单元，我们学习了动词不定式作宾语。动词不定式还有另外一种语法功能，在“动词+宾语+动词不定式”的结构中还可以作宾语补足语。宾语补足语是对宾语的补充说明。
动词不定式作宾语补足语
可以用于“动词+宾语+动词不定式”这一结构的动词有很
多，常见的有：want, tell, ask, invite, help, allow, choose,
advise, teach, encourage, choose等。
e.g. She asked her roommate to turn down the music.
The world Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) chose panda to be its symbol.
e.g. Mr Han told us not to make too much noise.
Jakie told me not to touch anything.
The doctor told the student nurse not to be late
again.
以上动词后接不定式作宾语补足语时，若要表达否定的
意思，要在to do前加not, 构成not to do的形式。
e.g. I’ll have Tony show you around the school.
His words made everyone laugh.
有些动词后接不定式作宾语补足语时，要将to省略，常
见的这类动词有：make, let, have, hear, feel, see等。
动词help后面可以跟不带to的不定式，也可以跟带to的不
定式。
e.g. My brother often helps me (to) clean my room on
weekends.
