知识点1 fun的用法
【教材原句】
What is fun in a yard
院子里有什么好玩的?
【要点精讲】
fun既可作形容词,也可作名词,侧重指“有趣,好玩”,无“滑稽”的意思。例如:
Reading is great fun. 阅读很有趣。
There are lots of fun things for kids to do there. 那里有许多供孩子们玩的有趣的东西。
【拓展】
funny也是形容词,意为“有趣的,滑稽的”,强调“滑稽”,让人觉得好笑。funny不仅可以作定语修饰名词,还可以作表语。例如:
The story is not funny.
这个故事并不好笑。
【例题】
—How's your Friday, Tom
—It's ________. I'm very happy that we have a sports meeting.

解析:选C。 根据“I'm very happy that we have a sports meeting.”可知,星期五是有趣的, fun符合语境。故选C。
知识点2 指示代词的用法

—What's that 那是什么?
—It's a cat. 是一只猫。

“What's that?”用来询问某事物的具体名称或含义,它是一个常见的口语询问方式。that是指离说话者较远的事物,离说话者较近则用this。“What's that/this?”的回答都要用“It's a/an+可数名词单数.”,根据不同的语境It译成“这/那/它”,有时也可不译。例如:
—What's that 那是什么?

how many后面跟可数名词的复数形式,它的句型结构为“How many+复数名词+一般疑问句?”。
