Take me for example. Speaking English used to be difficult for me. In Grade 7, my 83 was bad because I couldn’t speak English clearly and my classmates always laughed at me. So I 84 opened my mouth to speak English out. At that time, I became less and less interested in English. I was very 85 . With my English teacher’s help, I made plans to improve it. I read English texts aloud 86 an hour every morning. I also made a foreign friend online. I talked to 87 three times a week. She helped me 88 the way I spoke English. Then it looked 94 like the bottom of today’s sports shoes. Still, when he took this idea to several famous shoe companies, he was 95 laughed at. Later he started his own company, making NIKE sports shoes.
Sometimes good ideas grow out of failure. When Fred Smith was a 96 at Yale University, he found out that overnight delivery (快递) was impossible. He decided to design such a service and turned it into a class 97 . His teacher gave him only a C for his efforts. 98 , Smith kept on working and finally set up the successful overnight mail services in the world—FedEx.
Today we know that each of these ideas 99 an unbelievable successful product or service. The best questions are usually open-ended and are often silly. Children aren’t afraid to ask such questions, but 100 usually are. Think how different the world might be if people never asked “silly” questions!
