Alia Juma’s clothing company showed 18 kinds of clothes made from recycled plastic bottles at a workshop in Shanghai. Designer Alia Juma said billions of water-bottles are thrown into the ocean each year and take hundreds of years to break down. So, they decided to use them to help the environment. Five bottles can make a shirt, 10 a dress, and 20 a short coat.
Many other clothing companies are also trying to save the planet in similar ways. The process is simple: wash the plastic bottles, cut them into small pieces, melt and shape the pieces into small balls, and then melt the balls again to form threads (线)for making clothes.
Making threads from plastic bottles can cut down carbon emissions(碳排放) and water use compared with the normal way. The Importance of Reading Classic Literature
Classic literature refers to the works of literature that have stood the test of time and are widely regarded as important and valuable. These works, whether they are novels, poems, or plays, carry profound thoughts, rich emotions, and unique cultural values.
Reading classic literature offers numerous benefits. Firstly, it helps us understand different cultures and historical periods. For example, by reading“Pride and Prejudice”by Jane Austen, we can gain insights into the social life and values of 18th-century England. These classic works are like windows through which we can look into the past and learn about how people lived, thought, and loved in different eras.
Secondly, classic literature enriches our language and vocabulary. The writing styles in classic works are often masterful, with beautiful sentences and vivid descriptions. Reading them can improve our writing skills and make our language more precise and expressive. We can learn a lot of idiomatic expressions, rhetorical devices, and literary techniques from these works.
Moreover, classic literature has a profound impact on our spiritual world. It can inspire our emotions, stimulate our thinking, and shape our values. For instance,“The Old Man and the Sea”by Ernest Hemingway conveys the spirit of perseverance and the indomitable will of human beings. Such works can encourage us to face difficulties bravely in our own lives and never give up.
However, in modern society, with the development of technology and the increasing popularity of digital media, the number of people reading classic literature seems to be decreasing. Many people prefer to read short-form content on the Internet or watch movies and TV shows. But we should not neglect the value of classic literature. It is the treasure of human civilization, and we should make efforts to read and promote it so that more people can benefit from these great works.

B.It can teach us how to write love stories.
C.It can help us know about the social life of 18th-century England.
D.It can improve our math skills.
15.Why do some people read less classic literature nowadays
A.Because classic literature is too expensive.

Have you ever got the feeling that there aren’t enough hours in the day Time is racing away from you, and it’s impossible to fit everything in. But then, you step outside into the countryside and suddenly everything seems slower and more relaxing. Recent research showed nature could change our sense of time.
According to the research, for many of us, the need of work and care for family means we’re always feeling like we don’t have enough time. The Internet makes our working hours longer and makes it difficult for us to stay long with friends and family. It suggests the way to solve this problem may lie in the natural world.
Expert Richardo Correia read the research which compared people’s experiences of time when they carried out different tasks in urban (城市的) and natural environments. Finally, he found being in nature gives us the sense that we have enough time. At the same time, it not only changes our sense of time in the present, but also that of the past and the future.
