You can use creativity to write poems, but you can also use it in practical ways like coming up with a solution for a project or organizing things in your home. The next time you think you are not creative, take a step back and take a look at what you do in your daily lives. You might be surprised at how often you are using creativity.
As children, we are highly creative and imaginative. But as we grow older, we are taught to control these impulses. This is generally a good thing—a world without impulse control would be a place without order.

When you have a free writing, you write continuously for a period of time without worrying about the topic or being "correct". It is also important to remind yourself that there is no perfection. If you try to find the "right way" to do something, you limit your creative potential (潜质).
When you get a creative impulse, don't push it away or say "no". Try saying "yes, and…" instead. This encourages you not only to accept an idea but also to develop it. The "yes, and…" mindset allows you to take impulses, and give them consideration and room to grow.
Creativity plays an important role in our daily lives. Following your creative impulses can potentially help improve things like your performance and your ability.
