整体设计思路
本节课的主题语境为“人与自然”、“人与社会”，涉及的主题内容为“theme parks“，教学活动设计主线从”explore theme parks“到 “write about a theme park”，以小标题“fun and more than fun”为依托，剖析主题公园的的意义和文本的结构，梳理文章内容和语言特点，帮助学生了解三个有代表性意义的主题公园，即Disneyland, Dollywood和Chimelong Ocean Kingdom In Zhuhai,引导学生关注经典介绍的内容要点、语言表达特点及写作方法技巧，并指导学生模仿文本结构和语言特色来创作一篇介绍主题公园的文稿。
文本分析
语篇以“theme parks-fun and more than fun”为题，采取了“总-分”的叙述结构，先从概要介绍入手，再分段叙述三个有代表性的主题公园，即迪士尼乐园、多莉山公园和珠海长隆海洋王国。这三个公园各具特色，都围绕着“fun and more than fun”这个主题，在用文字吸引读者的同时，启发读者对这些主题公园所含文化意义的更多思考：在迪士尼乐园“让你儿时梦想成真”（make your childhood dreams come true）,在多莉山公园“快乐体验美国东南部的历史文化”（have fun learning all about American’s historical southeastern culture）,在珠海长隆既能涨知识又有乐趣（both educational and fun）。统领在主题公园大主题下的三个小语段虽各自内容相对独立，但在语言叙述风格上都简练有力，笔调轻松，且结尾处都用吸引人前来游玩的句式，直接发出号召和邀请。这样的叙述方式是在直接和读者交流，容易感染和打动读者。
学情分析
本课授课对象为嘉积中学高二年级普通班学生，语言基础相对薄弱，因此在各教学环节需层层铺设，搭建好脚手架。高一年级必修一学生已经对旅游这个话题有所了解，因此，对本单元的话题应该并不陌生。在本节课之前，学生已经学习了reading and thinking 部分，对国家公园，城市公园都有了一定的了解，这为理解主题公园做好了铺垫。本节课的目的在于从写作的角度理清文本结构，内容要点及语言特色，并学以致用，让学生养成“以读促写，以写促读”的英语学习模式，在有限的文本材料中，尽可能地深度挖掘，提高学生的写作层次。在本节课的潜在挑战是学生要从文本框架，段落结构，语言特点，遣词用句等方面进行探究，并实践操练进行真实语境下的介绍宣传的写作。
教学目标
通过本课学习，学生能够： 掌握宣传文稿该语篇类型的框架结构、语言特点及写作方法，并积累和掌握相关语料，复习五感描写法在英语写作中的应用； 通过快速获取文本主要内容，了解和掌握景点介绍写作的框架结构和语言特点，并归纳概括景点介绍写作的方法和技巧，并在新的情境中迁移应用； 了解并欣赏主题公园，探寻主题公园背后的文化意义； 以写作目的为出发点，构思写作内容要点和结构，并根据实际需求，使用恰当的词语和句式进行表达。
教学重点及难点
学生基于文本信息归纳并分析出景点介绍写作的框架结构、主要内容及语言特点，并以此为基础介绍自己感兴趣的主题公园。

Step 1 Lead-In: Introduce A Theme Park in Hainan Invite the students to enjoy an AI generated video of Hainan Ocean Paradise. Ask students to share their favorite theme parks. Which theme park is your favorite Share your reasons. The intension of design: By doing so, the teacher intends to guide students to enjoy the video of Hainan ocean paradise, get to know the attractions in it and learn to get the meaning of a theme park: have fun and more than fun. Additionally, help students to get familiar with the relevant words, phrases and sentence patterns, raise their interest in theme park and activate their interest in learning and exploring. Step 2: Before Reading Make Predictions Ask students to look at the title, subtitle and pictures to predict: What does the passage mainly talk about How would the author organize the passage What aspects would the author include to introduce a theme park What is the type of the passage Who are the intended readers And what is the writer’s purpose of writing this passage The intension of design: By doing so, the teacher intends to develop students’ ability of predicting the main idea, the structure, the type, the intended readers and the purpose of a passage according to the title, subtitle and the illustrations. Step 3 While Reading Read for detailed information Ask students to read for details of paragraph 2. Disneyland is a kind of amusement park based on a certain theme.
