Today is Tuesday. Students in our school don’t have classes because there is a special party in our school. I get up very early and go to school at about six o’clock. Our school is very clean and beautiful. And birds in the trees are singing. Every student in our school wears a white T-shirt. And everyone is busy and happy.
Our party starts at a quarter to eight on the school playground. First, our headmaster makes a speech for us, and then the program starts. Many students sing together. They sing and dance quite well. All the teachers and students like watching and listening to them. The party is really like a great concert. After the party, we go back to our classroom, and then we make some dumplings with our teachers. Then we have a really delicious meal together.
We all enjoy the day so much though I feel a little tired.

Museums are great places to learn something. In a science museum, people can learn about nature and technology as well as physics and chemistry. Visiting museums is a good choice to spend a holiday for people of all ages. But there’re some rules when visiting museums. Take an art museum, for example.
Keep quiet. You can talk, but keep your voice down and be polite to those around you. You should turn off your phone or put it on silent. Or sounds from your phone may disturb (打扰) others. If a call must be made, you should go outside to make it.
Ask before taking photos. Some museums welcome visitors to take photos or videos. However, please be careful with the sign “no photography” which means taking photos is not allowed for that work or exhibition. If you take photos without permission, you will be in trouble. Maybe you will be punished.
Do not touch works of art! Because even the slightest (最轻的) touch can damage the surface of a painting, discolor stone, and even rust metal. Keep a safe distance between you and each work of art. This helps to avoid accidental touching.
Never bring food or drinks into the museum. It’s no good eating or drinking there. The art in the museum will provide plenty of food for thought as well as a dinner for the eyes!
Running and pushing are not allowed in the museum. Proper museum behavior is necessary to avoid accidentally hitting or damaging works of art.

Have you ever cut your finger on the edge (边缘) of a book page A small cut on your finger can be painful. It seems that it hurts more than cuts on any other part of your body. However, some kinds of paper, like thin tissue paper or thicker postcards, hardly cause a cut.
A research team led by physicist Kare Jensen carried out a study to find out why some paper can cut fingers more easily. They used a gelatin replica (明胶复制品) of human tissue (组织) and tested different types of paper. They found that a thin piece of paper simply bends (弯曲) without causing any cuts. Thick paper can leave a red mark, but it won’t break the surface. The most treacherous (有潜在危险的) paper is about 65 micrometers thick. This is as thick as the newspaper. This kind of paper can often cut your fingers by accident. Magazine paper follows closely.
Instead of trying to stop paper from cutting, the scientists used this idea to make something new. They designed a 3D-printed tool called the Papermachete. When you put a piece of paper inside, it turns into a knife you can use once! This paper knife can cut cucumbers, peppers, and apples easily. The really surprising part is that it can cut through raw chicken! When you’re done, just throw it in the recycling bin. It is good for our planet.
In the future, scientists will find new ways to use paper in everyday life. With further exploration, who knows what other amazing things we can do with paper

B.Children shouldn’t use knives when cooking.
C.Different types of paper will have different uses.
D.Thin paper is more likely to cut fingers than thick paper.

In mid-April, young children in Changqin Village, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, ran happily with colorful kites in big green rice fields.
It was a school day, but the children were not in the classroom. Instead, they went outside for a fun learning trip in nature. One of them, six-year-old Xiao Rui proudly showed his kite. He painted a fast car on it. “It feels great that I made something that can fly in the sky,” he said with a big smile.
After flying kites, the children drew pictures beside the rice fields and even made rice milk coffee. These fun activities are part of a program called Yuliwendao. This program helps children and families learn about farming life by doing hands-on activities.
Mr. Jiang, who started the program, wants children to learn by doing, not just by reading books. “Kids learn best when they touch, see, and try things,” he says. His team turned old buildings into places where kids can make rice cakes, try mud-fishing, and even create pottery.
Many children in cities don’t know how rice grows. Now, they can walk in the fields, feel the mud, and plant rice by themselves. “This helps them really understand where their food comes from,” says a local teacher, Ms. Wu. She noticed her students became braver and more curious after these trips.
The program is popular. Many families and schools come back again. Even some adults join to enjoy nature and relax. Mr. Jiang now wants to start longer camps with art and woodcraft lessons.
