One hot day, Cao Cao was leading his soldiers through a dry area.
They had run out of water and the soldiers were all thirsty and tired. They looked around and found nothing but dry land. No one wanted to move on. Because they were in a hurry, Cao Cao couldn't let them stay there. So he said to the soldiers, “Everyone, listen to me. I've been here before. I know that there're many plum trees at the other side of the hill. When we cross over that hill, we can enjoy the delicious big plums.” Hearing this, the soldiers got excited. They continued their way in the hope of eating the plums under the trees.
Cao Cao knew well about people and he encouraged his soldiers in his way. Finally, they went across the dry area successfully.

Dear teachers and classmates, welcome to today's programme. In China, there's such a pioneer in space technology. His name is Sun Jiadong. Now I'll bring you the story of him, China's “Father of Satellites”.
When Sun first worked in the aerospace field, he worked as the technical director of Dongfanghong 1, China's first man-made satellite. It was successfully launched on April 24, 1970. Since then, he has not allowed himself to stop exploring space. Up to now, 34 satellites have been built with Sun serving as the technical director or chief engineer.
He always says, “I'm willing to do whatever my country requires me to do.” The scientist keeps his words. Although he is old, he still does whatever he can to help develop China's space industry.

Let me tell you what my family often do before and during the Spring Festival holidays, then you'll have a better understanding of how we Chinese celebrate the festival.
After the 23rd of the twelfth month of the lunar year, we begin preparing for the coming New Year. We clean our house, prepare food and go shopping together. What's more, Spring Festival couplets are stuck on both sides of the front door. Red paper cuttings can be seen on windows.
On lunar New Year's Eve, my big family always get together to cook dinner. When the night comes, we have dinner while watching the Spring Festival Gala on TV. It is exciting! The next day, we wear new clothes to visit our relatives and friends. Then each child will get some lucky money as a gift.
The Spring Festival is the most important festival for Chinese people. The clean-up, the dinner, the family reunion…all of them mean a lot to us.

How to deal with bullies
The teenage years can be full of pressure, uncertainty, and change. The problems teenagers will face can be numerous, and bullying is one of them.
Being bullied can be terrible. But if this happens to you, you should know two things: you're not alone, and it's not your fault. Here're a few ways to deal with it.
Get Help. Tell your parents or the teachers about your situation. That will not only get you help, but also make you feel less afraid.
Walk away when the bully gets close to you. Try and imagine you're walking away from a stranger. Both you and your body language will show you don't care.
Make yourself stronger. Why Bullies usually pick on people who they think are weaker than them. So take some kung fu lessons if you can.

This is a report on the famous fairy tale The Emperor’s New Clothes by Hans Christian Andersen.
In the story, two cheats say to the emperor that they have made the world’s most beautiful clothes but only wise men can see it. They ask the emperor to wear the “clothes”. Then the emperor walks to the street in his new “clothes”. Everyone sees that the emperor wears nothing but no one has the courage to tell him the truth. At last, one boy says loudly, “The emperor is naked!” The emperor is really embarrassed.
Through the story, Andersen encourages us to tell the truth like the boy. I think this is really important to us. Now fake news can be seen on the Internet every day. We shouldn’t always believe what most people say. We have to think and find out the truth by ourselves.

Hello, everyone! Today, I'd like to talk about the most special gift I've received. It is a bike from my father and I have had it for more than five years.
When I was ten years old, my father bought the bike for me as a birthday gift. I decided to learn to ride it by myself. However, I fell down so many times that I wanted to give up. But my father encouraged me to keep on. Finally, with my father's help, I succeeded.
Now I still keep the bike. Every time I see it, I will remember my father's words. It reminds me that nothing is difficult for a willing heart.
