unit 4 语法 （形容词、副词的最高级）
本单元承接了上一单元形容词和副词比较级用法，学习了形容词和副词最高级的用法。
一．形容词、副词变最高级的变法：
1.一般情况下，词尾加est.
2.以字母e结尾的词，词尾加st。
3.重读闭音节词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写该辅音字母，再加est。
4.以辅音字母加y结尾的双音节词，先把y改为i再加est。
5.多音节词和部分双音节词，词前加most.
6. 特殊变化：
good/well—best bad/badly—worst
many/much—most little—least
far—farthest/furthest

二．形容词和副词最高级的用法
表示三者或三者以上的比较，其中有一个在某一方面超过其他几个，后面可用带有of, in, among的短语等来说明比较的范围。形容词的最高级前面一般要加定冠词the,副词最高级前的the 可以省略。
例如：The cheetah runs (the) fastest among all land animals.

三. 最高级的常见句型
1. “……是……中最……的”。
① “主语+be动词+the+形容词最高级+in/of 短语.”
例句：Tony is the youngest of the three boys.
托尼是三个男孩中年龄最小的。
②“主语+实义动词+(the)+副词最高级+in/of短语.”
例句： Jane always arrives at school earliest in our class.
简总是我们班到校最早的。

①“特殊疑问词(组)+be动词+the+形容词最高级,A or B or C ”

②“特殊疑问词(组)+助动词+主语+动词原形+(the)+副词最高级,A,B or C ”

③“特殊疑问词(组)+动词+(the)+副词最高级,A,B or C ”
例句： Who does homework the most carefully, Tom, Jim or Lucy 谁做作业最认真， Tom，Jimmy还是Lucy？

4. 用于“one of the +最高级+复数名词”，表示“最……之一”。该结构作主语时，谓语动词用单数。

6. 比较级表示最高级的含义
①“形容词/副词比较级+than any other+可数名词单数”意为“比同一范围内的所有其他成员更……”
例句： Jack is more hard - working than any other student in our class.在我们班，杰克比其他任何一个学生都勤奋。
同义句型：比较级+than the other +复数名词
例句：Jack is more hard-working than the other students in our class.
