Ⅰ.阅读理解
Amy Moran, an adviser at Kickapoo High School, will train teens in a Mental Health First Aid program as part of a pilot project. As a high school adviser, Amy Moran is willing to help the teenagers who trust her enough to talk about their problems.
But, even when they do, she believes she’s rarely the first to know about them. “Teens are telling teens when there is a problem, or when they are struggling,” said Moran, who is stationed at Kickapoo High School. They tell a friend first. But high school students may not know how to respond and how to get help if they are having mental health problems.

Community Partnership of the Ozarks (CPO), in partnership with Springfield Public Schools, will take part in the nation’s first teen Mental Health First Aid pilot program. In recent years, CPO has bolstered the effort to train adults including many teachers in Mental Health First Aid. Starting this week, all sophomores(高二学生) at Kickapoo High School will be offered a full day of training.
As part of the training, teens will learn how to spot the warning signs of mental illnesses and how to respond. They will be trained in a five-step action plan-similar to CPR- to help friends who may be facing a mental health problem. The training stresses the importance of involving a responsible and trusted adult as soon as possible.
