Burns Night is an annual celebration held on January 25th in honor of the Scottish poet Robert Burns.
Born in 1759, he is considered the national poet of Scotland. His works, including a wide range of poems and songs, have had a significant impact on Scottish literature and culture.
The main event of Burns Night is the Burns Supper.
During the celebration, toasts are made to the “Immortal Memory of Robert Burns.” People also recite Burns’ poems such as “Auld Lang Syne,” “To
a Mouse,” and “Tam o’ Shanter.” Traditional Scottish music and dancing, like the sound of bagpipes and country dances, are also an integral part of the evening.
