I think taking a genuine interest in what the other person wants to say makes you a good listener. We don’t listen properly if we are just waiting for the other person to finish so that we can say what we want to say.

I think the tips are reasonable because they encourage people to be mindful when having a conversation.

Another good tip I would add is to always ask open-ended questions, because they encourage better responses. For example, instead of asking “Did you have a good day ” we can ask “What was the best part of your day ”
