if引导的条件状语从句
在复合句中作条件状语的句子叫条件状语从句。
条件状语从句常用if 来引导。
If引导的条件状语从句包含零条件句和第一条件句。
零条件句:
一般表示普遍存在的事实、真理或习惯行为。
条件成立时,结果必然出现,不存在任何不确定性。
第一条件句:
用于表示在特定条件下可能会发生的情况。
结果的实现是有条件的,且这个条件有实现的可能性。
含义
e.g. If you want to keep fit, you should exercise at least thirty minutes a day.
如果你想保持健康,你每天至少应该锻炼三十分钟。
The children won’t pay attention to their mistakes if the teachers don’t tell them.
如果老师不告诉孩子们,他们就不会注意到自己的错误。
if 引导的条件状语从句,既可放在主句前,也可放在主句后。
位于主句前,要用逗号与主句隔开;
位于主句后,其前不必用逗号。

句型转换
1. 借助“祈使句+and/or+句子(一般将来时)”句型来转换。
and 在句意上表示顺承,意为“那么,就”;
or 表示转折,意为“否则”。
e.g. If you get up early, you’ll catch the school bus.
= Get up early, and you’ll catch the school bus.
= Get up early, or you won’t catch the school bus.
早点起床,你就会赶上校车。
2. 借助 without 或 with 来转换条件状语从句。
e.g. If there is no sunshine, plants will die.
=Plants will die without sunshine.
如果没有阳光,植物将会死亡。
If you help me, I’ll get better grades.
=With your help, I’ll get better grades.
如果你帮助我,我将取得更好的成绩。
