They are the topic sentence of each paragraph.
My first resolution is to improve my tennis skills. I fell in love with this sport in October when I watched a professional match. After that I took a few tennis lessons, but I still can't consistently hit the ball. Next year, I will practise three times a week, aiming to master basic forehand and backhand techniques. I'll also try to find more tennis partners for regular practice.
My second resolution is to improve my spoken English. While my reading and writing skills are good, speaking is still my weakness. I have decided to watch more English-speaking TV shows without subtitles. Though challenging, this will help me learn more about natural speech.
My third resolution is to improve my cooking. In Unit 3, I learned about some simple dishes and successfully cooked them myself. I have more confidence in cooking now. I plan to try more recipes, especially my favourites: steak and chocolate cake.

常用句型
The second resolution is about improving my physical health. I am going to try a new sport such as ping-pong and play it two or three times a week. Playing more sports will help me to become healthier and I will not fall ill so often.
The third resolution is about improving my relationships with my family and friends. I am going to spend more time with my family. Maybe we can take up a new hobby together!
Doing more things together with my family will make
them happy. I am also going to help my friends more.
For example, I can help them with their English homework if there is anything they don’t understand. Helping my friends will show them that I care about them and that they are important to me.
The last resolution is about how to do better at school. I am going to read more books in English. That is going to help me learn more English words. I know I can keep this resolution because reading is fun.

last but not least 最后但同等重要的

通常独立成句或作为分句开头，后接逗号，再引出具体内容（可接名词、句子等）。
