Yang Zhenning: A Great Physicist
Yang Zhenning, a world-famous physicist and China's first Nobel laureate, passed away in Beijing at the age of 103. Tsinghua University, where he worked as a professor, will never forget him.
Born in Anhui in 1922, Yang studied at many top schools. He went to the US for further studies in 1945 and got his PhD there. In 1957, he and his colleague Tsung-dao Lee won the Nobel Prize in Physics. They won it for their theory about “parity non-conservation” in weak interaction.
Yang made great contributions to modern physics. His “Yang-Mills theory” is one of the most important achievements in physics, comparable to Einstein’s famous theories. He also loved his motherland deeply. The number of AI users in China reached 515 million as of June, an increase of 266 million compared to December 2024, according to a report released on Saturday.
The report, released by the China Internet Network Information Center, found that domestically developed AI large models have gained widespread popularity among users.
The report cited a survey showing that more than 90 percent of users prefer domestic large models as their first choice.

30% of the students like smartphones best. They think smartphones make communication easier and allow them to access information anytime.
