Welcoming Tablet Integration In Classroom
While many may question the potential drawbacks concerning distractions and eyesight, I firmly support
introducing tablets into our classrooms.
First, tablets unlock personalized self-learning. With adaptive learning apps, students can progress at their
own pace — advanced learners dive deeper while others receive tailored support, making education more
inclusive and efficient. Second, they can serve as teaching assistance tools. Imagine accessing videos or
interactive virtual experiments in class, turning abstract concepts into engaging experiences and transforming
passive lessons into hands-on explorations.
Tablets, if used properly, are not distractions but catalysts for academic growth. Let’s foster our digital
literacy with self-discipline and make technology truly to our advantage.
反对:
Questioning Tablet Integration In Classroom
While many advocate tablets adoption in classroom, I strongly oppose this trend due to following concerns.
Practically, effective tablet use demands exceptional self-discipline — a requirement most students fail to

meet. With notifications popping out and social media just a click away, many students unconsciously switch to
non-academic content within minutes during tablet-based learning. Scientifically, handwriting surpasses typing in
learning efficiency. Neuroscience research confirms that writing notes by hand activates deeper cognitive
processing, enhancing memory retention by up to 40% compared to typing. Moreover, prolonged screen exposure
may add fuel to the fire of students’ shortsightedness.
Let’s prioritize proven learning methods over flashy technology. Traditional pen-and-paper remains
irreplaceable for cultivating genuine academic excellence.

参考范文:
I stuck out my arms and legs, grabbing at anything I could.I stuck out my arms and legs, grabbing at
anything I could. The wind screamed in my ears, and the cold bit into my face like fire. My body rolled faster and
faster until, by pure instinct, I slammed my ice axe into the snow. It struck deep, jerking my arm painfully, but it
held. My fall stopped. For a moment, I just hung there, trembling, the world silent except for my heartbeat. Then I
heard Mel shouting my name from above. “Hold on!” she cried. I could see her figure moving carefully down the
slope toward me. Together, inch by inch, we managed to reach a narrow ledge.
I lay there with a broken leg, while Mel knelt beside me, calling for an ambulance.I lay there with a broken
leg, while Mel knelt beside me, calling for an ambulance. She pressed her down jacket around my waist to keep
me warm, her hand squeezing mine. “Help’s coming,” she said, voice steady even as her hands shook. Soon the
ambulance arrived. On the way to hospital,I stared at the snow, thinking of the 100 peaks I’d climbed. I’d been so
proud of “conquering” them, but this fall taught me: climbing’s not about winning. It’s about respecting
nature—and leaning on friends when you stumble. That lesson mattered more than any summit.
听力部分录音稿
Text 1
M: How did you find Professor Lown’s speech
W: It was great. I was completely attracted by the saying he started with, and I really enjoyed the amusing story he
shared in the middle.
M: I especially liked the encouraging poem in the closing part.
Text 2
W: Talking with the suppliers is the key for this deal. That’s where your expert bargaining skills will really come
into play.
M: I’m ready to put those skills to the test.
W: Do your best tomorrow.
Text 3
M: Excuse me, I need some drugs. Here is the medicine my doctor ordered for me.
W: Let me check… Okay, here are your drugs. Remember, the drugs in the blue bottle are not for internal use.
M: Got it. Thank you.
Text 4
W: Speaking of the family photo, shall we choose this photo studio I heard its staff is friendly. And it’s having a
sales promotion.
M: But we don’t know if its photographers can take good photos.
W: My friend’s wedding photos were taken at the studio. She speaks highly of the photographers there.
Text 5
W: Dylan, hold the handlebars of the bike. Then push off the bike with one foot and start pedaling.
M: Like this I can’t control the direction!
W: Don’t worry. I’m holding the bike.
M: I’m moving! It’s more fun than watching TV!

Text 6
W:⑥I heard Carson cleaned out the old stuff from his house again.
M: Yes. He donated the old stuff to the homeless.
W:⑥He’s always kind to others. I know he volunteers at the local soup kitchens and food banks.
M: Yeah. However, ⑦I think there are more creative ways to help homeless people. For example, we can set up
mobile training buses to help them master skills like cooking and gardening.
W: I see your point. Teaching a man to fish is better than giving him fish.
Text 7
W: You finally got up!
M: ⑧I had a nice nap just now. Look outside! The rain is pouring down. It’s as dark as night. Wait! ⑨Before
Mom left home this morning, she told me to collect the clothes and shoes from the yard after lunch. I totally
forgot!
W: I brought them in after I got back from grocery shopping. But it was too late. They were already wet from the
rain.
M:⑩Mom will blame me when she gets home from work.
W: Well, ⑧⑩it’s 4:00 p.m. Mom gets off work at 5:00 p.m., and it’ll take her half an hour to get home. So, you
still have some time to figure out what to do.
M: You have to help me!
Text 8
M: Can you tell me about your work hours, Lisa
W: Sure. I work eight hours a day, five days a week—from Monday to Friday. What about you
M: We have the same work hours every day, but I work six days a week. How I envy you!
W: In fact, some countries have tried out four-day workweeks in some companies, so some people just have to
work four days a week.
M: Really What are the results of the trial
W: Well, employees in those companies are happier and healthier with a four-day-per-week schedule. And
employers see lower quit rates and absence rates. A study in Spain even tracked a drop in fuel pollution due
to fewer commuting trips.
M: Interesting! How do those companies manage to reduce work hours
W: They cancel unnecessary meetings and make better use of technology to free up time.
M: I think hiring more employees can help.
Text 9
W: Have you heard about acupuncture for pets
M: No. What’s that
W: Acupuncture is one of traditional Chinese medicine treatments. My neighbor Mr. Daly sent his disabled dog
Max for acupuncture. After six acupuncture treatments, the dog could hop like a rabbit! Maybe you could
try it for Ginger.
M: That’s amazing! But could it work on Ginger, too I mean he is a cat while Max is a dog.
W: You can put your mind at ease. Traditional Chinese medicine treatments work on cats as well. In fact,
they’re effective for many animals.
M: Really They must be expensive. How much did Mr. Daly spend on each acupuncture treatment
W: About 200 yuan each time. That’s quite affordable. Mr. Daly chose traditional Chinese medicine treatments,
because he thought they are good alternatives to surgeries which can be really costly.
M: True. Surgeries are also risky.
W: If you’re interested, I can ask Mr. Daly about the location of the Chinese medicine center.

Text 10
M: If you write a book, there’s a chance that it will be chosen as a movie script. If you make music,
licensing deals present the opportunity to earn more money on your songs in the future. But for visual artists, once
a work is bought from the gallery, that’s the only time they’ll get paid.
Artworks can be sold for much higher prices than what they were initially sold for. Therefore, artists are keen
to enter the secondary market. Zero Art Fair, a new art fair that offers $0 artworks and a unique contract, has
helped artists make that connection. It was created by artists Jennifer Dalton and William Powhida, running
from July 19th to 21st in Elizaville, New York. The fair’s contract includes a five-year vesting period during
which the artist can borrow back or sell the piece. If the artwork is resold, the artist receives a percentage of the
sale price. Artists benefit by clearing storage space, and collectors gain access to art they might not afford
otherwise.
Other artists have experimented with novel sales methods: Adam Simon created an online network for
collectors to “adopt” works of art, and Seth Siegelaub worked with lawyer Robert Projansky to create an
open-source legal contract.
But that’s not to say that Zero Art Fair and these other projects are trying to replace the art market. Any
experiment that benefits both creators and collectors is well worth trying.
