The earth is a special planet. It is our home now, and it will be our home in the future.
But people can’t live everywhere on the earth. We can’t live in water.Oceans cover two thirds of the earth’s surface. The earth has only one big ocean, but we use these names for its different parts: the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Arctic Ocean.

Only about one third of our planet is land. There are seven continents: Asia, Africa, Oceania, Antarctica, Europe,
North America, and South America. Some land is rich with green forests,fresh water, and good soil. But some places are difficult for humans to live because of the snow and ice, the deserts, or the high mountains.
The earth is our only home. We must treat it well for our children and for our children’s children, too!

分数的表达方式：分子用基数词，分母要用序数词；当分子大于1 时，分母要用复数。如：three fourths 意为“四分之三”。

当分数作主语时， 谓语动词的单复数由后面所接的名词决定。如果是不可数名词，谓语动词用单数形式；如果是可数名词复数，谓语动词用复数形式。

拓展提升：百分数作主语时，谓语动词的单复数也由后面所接的名词决定。
e.g. Forty-five percent students exercise four to six times a week in our class. 我们班百分之四十五的学生每周锻炼四到六次。

辨析：because of 与because because of 意为“因为；由于”，是介词短语，其后跟名词、代词或动词-ing 形式
because 意为“因为”，是连词，引导原因状语从句

be full of 意为“装满；充满”，后面通常跟名词，主语可以是人，也可以是物，表示状态。
e.g. She is full of joy after hearing the good news.
听到这个好消息后，她非常高兴。
拓展：be filled with 意为“用……把……装满”，有时可与 be full of 相互转换。
e.g. The bottle is filled with milk.
=The bottle is full of milk. 瓶子里装满了牛奶。
