"Gavin!"called Mr.Capshaw."We're ready to go.Are you coming "Gavin walked slowly
down the stairs.Finally he joined his parents at the door.
“T'm ready,”he sighed(叹气).
“This will be fun.I know you'll enjoy the performance(演出)，”Mrs.Capshaw said.“After
we might even meet Dad's college friend Joseph.He has a lead role in the show."
The Capshaws walked toward the subway station..Idon't even like ballet(芭蕾舞)，”Gavin
said.
"Not all dance is ballet,Gavin,"said Mr.Capshaw."The show we're going to see tonight is
modern dance.But there are many other kinds of dance,too-tap dance,jazz dance,break dancin
square dancing,the tango,the waltz.I'd like you to keep an open mind on this."
Gavin sighed again."Okay,Dad.I'll do my best."
About 45 minutes later,the Capshaws arrived at the theater.Gavin looked around while he
waited for the performance to begin.He couldn't believe how many people there were in the
theater.
Suddenly,the lights went off,and the audience began to clap ()
Once the performance began,Gavin forgot about everything else.He gave his full attention t
the performance.The performers made the moves look so easy,but he could tell it was much moi
difficult than it appeared.
After the performance,Gavin's parents asked him what he thought."That was amazing.I'm
glad we came,"he replied.
They then went to meet Joseph,who was excited to see them.
