Why is the “pay-for-knowledge” industry developing so ___76_____ First, its development is based on the internet. With a fast network and a smartphone, anyone who has passed the identity (身份) check can be an online teacher, and anyone with an online account (账户) can buy “pay-for-knowledge” products at an affordable price. Second, people are afraid to miss any information. On the one hand, people hope for more useful information. On the other hand, such information is usually at the hands of ___77_____ who serve well-known companies or universities. The need to learn new skills in today’s job market also pushes people to learn ___78_____ such educational podcasts.
The industry of “pay-for-knowledge” carries two benefits. It promises possibilities of turning information into money. Besides, buyers can enjoy self-growth from it.
However, the fast development of “pay-for-knowledge” has a few problems. For one, the market is full of eye-catching words ___79_____ “How to Be an Industry Expert in 5 Hours” and “15 Classes to Be a Master of Appreciating (欣赏) Classical Music”, which sound like if you pay for it, you are ___80_____ to succeed. In fact, those who have really experienced self-growth after buying online courses may be the ones who need them least, because they have the ability to learn by themselves.
Generally speaking, the most suitable option is always the best. “Pay-for-knowledge” can serve as an excellent beginning for self-improvement. However, it’s important to use it wisely! Otherwise, your dream of success may not come true.

D. Answer the questions (根据短文内容回答下列问题) (12分)
I’m sitting in my favourite spot on a hill, surrounded by trees and soft green grass. The wind gently blows, and the sun shines brightly in the early morning. It’s the perfect temperature, neither too hot nor too cold. This place brings me peace, and I feel calm. I come here whenever I can, though it’s rare now. It holds a special place in my heart, especially because I’ve always imagined visiting places where nature and ancient buildings are closely connected, like the peaceful temples hidden in the mountains.
But now, the reality is different. I switched off my mask, and released electrodes(电极)from my skin. I know my time here is over. I’m in a spaceship, with artificial light, metal floors and narrow rooms — nothing like the green hills and trees I once knew. The peaceful breeze is replaced by the noise of machines. The long journey to Mars is lonely. That’s why I need some virtual (虚拟的)activities to stay calm.
We are on the greatest mission of humanity, but I worry about losing what makes us human. If we reach Mars, we should do more than just build shelters— we must protect nature there, just as we should have done on Earth. If we fail, Mars will become another empty planet.
Let’s not repeat the mistakes of the past. Our true strength lies in caring for our planet, not just settling in new worlds.
88. What is the writer's favourite place (2’)
89. Does the writer feel comfortable in the spaceship (1’)
90. Why does the writer need some virtual activities (2’)

Adam: AI is changing things. There are more AI-written articles online. Maybe soon, you’ll see paper books completely written by AI on the market.
Joyce: Are you afraid of losing your job
Adam: No. I see AI as an assistant and make full use of it at work.
Joyce: How do you do that
Adam: Well, I write the story first. When I need ideas, I type key words into AI apps. They suggest ideas, and I consider them carefully. Sometimes I ask AI to check my writing for mistakes. It can also give me advice from a reader’s view, like which parts are not clear. It helps improve my work.
Joyce: What do you think of the future of your job
Adam: Actually, human writers will work with AI more. Although it is powerful, it still needs our guide.
Joyce: Thank you for sharing your ideas! It’s interesting to know how writers and AI can work together.

D. Listen to the passage and fill in the blanks. (听短文,完成下列内容。每空格限填一词)
We all talk to ourselves sometimes, but not everyone does it in the same way. How you do it can make a big difference to your life. The good news is that you can learn to have better self-talk.
First of all, listen to what you say to yourself. Do you tell yourself that you are not smart or good enough If you keep doing it, you may start to believe it. Try to turn the negative self-talk into positive one. You can use words like “can” or “will”. For example, you may say, “I will write a great article.”
Also, you can try to use the second or third person in your self-talk. In one study, scientist Ethan Kross asked 89 people to give a speech, with only five minutes to get ready. As they prepared, he asked some to use “I” in their self-talk. These people were more likely to be anxious. They said things like, “I can’t prepare a speech in five minutes.” The other people were asked to call themselves “you” or by their own names. They were more likely to give themselves support. They said things like, “Ethan, you can do this!”
“Talking in the second or third person helps people put some distance between themselves and their feelings,” said Kross. “It helps people think more clearly about their own problems, in the same way they think about other people's.”
