Kids can learn about materials, chemistry and problem-solving while cooking.
However, as cooking is a good activity, family relationships might grow better when family members cook together. Also, AI robots may not be able to produce different dishes. All the food might taste the same if you depend too heavily on AI in meal creation.

A
Are you afraid of answering the phone An Internet user from Shandong said: “Once the phone rings, I put it on the table and waited for the other person to end the phone call”. This shows how young people deal with their phone calls nowadays. In the past, however, people waited in line in front of booths (电话亭) to make phone calls.
In fact, phones have changed how we communicate. People now prefer to text rather than talk on the phone. They think they don’t have enough time to think about what to talk.
When people hear their phone ringing, they feel uneasy. For example, the internet user said he was afraid of answering the phone call, because he couldn’t see the facial expressions and body language of the caller. This might make him overthink the caller’s real meaning and might even make him misunderstand the caller.
Unlike texting, phone calls miss out a lot of key information. A researcher found that 50% of meaning is communicated through body language, 38% through tones(语调) of voice, and 7 % through spoken words.
Moreover, answering the phone is like opening a blind box. It can bring good news or bad news when you pick up the phone.
66. How do young people feel about answering a phone call

67. In which way do young people prefer to communicate

A. Tones of voice. B. Spoken words. C. Body language.
70. Where can we read this passage
A. In a magazine. B. In a novel. C. In a guidebook.
B
In the UK, ads for potato chips and sweetened yogurt are very normal. But that will soon change. British government asked companies to cut down the ads of junk food online or on TV. They can only be shown after 9 p.m.
This new rule is a solution towards children’s overweight. It’s surprising to find that over 20% of the kids are becoming fat before starting primary school. And the number goes up as they grow older.
There are many studies showing a connection between the number of the ads people see and the junk food they buy. So in order to help parents and young people make their healthy choices, the government set two criteria(标准). First, they look at how much salt, fat and sugar the food has. Second, scientists listed out 13 kinds of unhealthy food, such as sugary soft drinks, ice cream, and cakes. And they will make sure whether the food belongs to one of them.
However, some experts disagree. They think that stopping playing this kind of ads on TV doesn’t really solve the problem. “Do kids really want junk food because they see it on TV or is it because they’ve tried it once and want it again ”
From what has been discussed above, what we need to do is to improve children’s nutritional(营养的) education instead.
71. According to the new ad rule, when can they see these ads on TV in the UK
7:00 p.m. B. 8:00 p.m. C. 9:30 p.m.
72. In this passage, what’s the problem with British children
They often watch TV.
They hardly ever exercise.
More and more students become heavier.
73. Which food could be a good choice for the people according to the the criteria of the government
Sugary apple juice B. Fresh fruit sandwich C. Salty vegetable soup
74. What relationship can we get between the ads and the junk food from the studies
The best way to solve the problem is to turn off the TV.
The more ads people see, the more junk food people will buy.
If ads show junk food in a scientific way, people can make right choices.
75. How might they solve the problem in the writer’s opinion

Here’s a riddle(谜): What do traffic jams, long lines and waiting for a vacation to start all have in common There is one answer. We could use a little extra patience.
In the Digital Age, we’re used to having what we need immediately and right at our finger. However, research suggests that if we practiced patience, the whole thing won’t end up becoming bad. Here are several tips.
●Practice gratitude (感激)
Research shows that thankfulness makes us happier, less stressed and even more optimistic. It can also help us practice more patience. “Showing thankfulness can develop self-control,” said Ye Li, researcher at the University of California.
● Make yourself wait
Fast gratification (满足) may seem like the most “feel good” choice at the time, but psychology research suggests waiting for things actually makes us happier in the long run. And the only way for us to get into the habit of waiting is to practice. Start with small tasks. Put off watching your favorite show until the weekend or wait 10 extra minutes before going for that cake. After practicing it, you’ll find it easier to fix your mind on more annoying things.
●Accept the uncomfortable.
So many of us have the belief that being comfortable is the only way we can accept, and when we experience something outside of our comfort zone, we get impatient about the conditions. You should learn to say to yourself, “This is just uncomfortable, not unacceptable.” You’ll then gradually become more patient.
6. ____________ 7. ____________ 8. _____________ 9. _____________ 10. ______________

Having a pen pal is fun and can be a great way to improve your writing. But most people have trouble knowing what to write to their pen pal. Luckily, here are some ways to get to know a pen pal.
First, you could share a little of your information with them. Start with your name, age, a job and what you like to do or what’s on your mind that day. This will encourage your pen pal to tell you something about his. And this will be helpful to start your friendship.
Second, you could ask your pen pal some questions, and maybe you can get his e-mail sooner. This will help you get to know him.
Third, you can ask for advice. You may have some difficulties in your life and want to ask for advice. Your pen pal may tell you what to do. You don’t have to take all his advice, but it will give you something about his opinions. Also talking about real world questions will improve your friendship.
