I choose Plan A—donating money and goods. To begin with, right after a quake the urgent needs are water, food, medicine and blankets, which aid groups can deliver fast. Besides, donating is safe and convenient for us when roads are blocked. In the short term, cash gifts let families buy what they need. By working with the Red Cross and keeping a public list, we build trust. Therefore, Plan A fits best now.Yours,Li Hua版本B(选B:组织线上支教)Dear Chris,I really like the idea that our class can make a contribution to the earthquake-hit area. I prefer Plan B—organizing online teaching.First, while money meets today’s needs, lessons shape tomorrow, so students won’t fall behind when schools reopen. Second, online teaching is low-cost and safe, which lets us reach more children even if roads are broken. In practice, we can set a weekly plan, pair volunteers with grades, and upload short videos to save data. Therefore, Plan B brings lasting help.Yours,Li Hua版本C(提“Plan C”:小额捐助 + 书信结对)Dear Chris,I really like the idea that our class can make a contribution to the earthquake-hit area. Instead of A or B, I suggest Plan C—a book-and-buddy program. On the one hand, small donations buy the basics that shelters lack; on the other hand, letters and used books, which comfort and teach, give steady support at low cost. Meanwhile, this plan works even if live classes are hard. In practice, we pair with a class, mail a packet monthly, and keep a list. Therefore, Plan C is warm and workable.Yours,Li Hua书面表达第二节参考范文:This time I would not hide my desire any more. Determined to follow my heart, I explained to my mother how I felt. I told her that I wanted to go to college to learn to be a doctor instead of being a teacher. After saying this, I waited nervously for her reaction. To my surprise, she approved of my request, and she told me she was moved by my perseverance. With her support and my efforts, I was admitted into my ideal college. At the graduation ceremony, with my mother present, I, as “Excellent Graduate”, had to deliver a speech. In my speech, I shared with the audience my story about how a teenager realized her dream. Faced with difficulties, I took a path that led me to do something that needed passion, training and practice. I also owed my success to my mother’s support. Without her understanding, I couldn’t have pursued my dream. At the end of my speech, I spotted my mother’s watery eyes, and said, “Mom, I made it!” Her face lit up with pride.听力原文Text 1W: What time does your flight leave, Simon M: It leaves at ten to three. She's turning 10 this week.M: Sure, we've got a great selection of toys. Has she got any hobbies or interests like sports or dancing W: She loves art and crafts, and maybe science experiments.M: Great, we've got science kits for 35 with a microscope and experiment materials. They didn't use to have any posters or anything on the walls, and the windows used to be really high up so the children couldn't see outside.W: Sounds awful! Not many men taught either because the pay was very low.W: So, you wouldn't have been a teacher in those days, Dad.M: No. They didn't teach geography in those days, anyway.W: What subjects did they teach M: Mostly reading, writing, and math.W: What time did they start school M: School used to start at 9 a.m. and finish at 5 p.m. But they had a two-hour lunch break because everyone used to walk home for lunch.Text 10Hi, everyone. If you've been with us from the beginning, you'll know that we began our tour in Amsterdam, walked our way through Germany and Austria, down into Italy, back up through Switzerland and this week we are in Paris. We won't spend much time at the big attractions. In a tourist destination like Paris, even a new traveler knows to see the famous art museums of Paris and no one misses the Eiffel Tower. But we're going to some of the places the average tourist misses. For instance, the best view in town may not be from the top of the Eiffel Tower, but from the top of the Montparnasse Tower. The view includes the Eiffel Tower as well as everything else. It's cheaper and easier to get up here. We can join a ride on a public bus. I like the views from Line 63. Or we can cruise through Paris in one of their river tour boats. To cover more territory, traffic and streets for you, I ride the subway. Many European cities have subway systems, the one in Paris is really amazing. You can go anywhere in town for a reasonable price. And don't worry, getting lost is cheap. In fact, you could stay underground all day long on one ticket about the cost of a cup of coffee. 1. It was a beautiful house with things that were common in her neighborhood, absent in mine.Little by little, I got better at cleaning her house — good enough to be given more to do. After struggling to move the piano, my limbs ached terribly. Despite wanting to decline or voice my discomfort, I feared losing my job and the independence and respect it afforded me. She began to offer me her clothes, for a price. Impressed by these worn things, which looked simply elegant to a little girl who had only two dresses to wear to school, I bought a few.Still, I had trouble summoning up (鼓起) the courage to object to the increasing demands she made. Despite feeling overwhelmed, I hesitated to voice my concerns, knowing my mother would urge me to quit. However, one day while alone in the kitchen with my father, I expressed my disappointment. In any case, he put down his cup of coffee and said, “Whatever the work is, do it well — not for the boss but for yourself. You make the job; it doesn’t make you. You are not the work you do; you are the person you are.”I have worked for all sorts of people since then, geniuses and fools, quick-witted and dull, big-hearted and narrow. I’ve had many kinds of jobs, but since that conversation with my father, I have never considered the level of labor to be the measure of myself, and I have never placed the security of a job above my self-worth and family value.24.What mainly enabled the author to bear the burden of work A.Abundant exposure to entertainment.B.Satisfaction gained from social work.C.Inborn abilities to handle work stress.D.Pride in shouldering family obligations.25.Which of the following can best describe the author’s character A.Determined and independent. Your mind wanders, envisioning every possible outcome. Do you picture yourself in control Or does your imagination toy with the idea of failure The answer matters because it could affect your confidence and, ultimately, how well you will perform in the upcoming match. Although people don’t take such moments spent in their imagination as seriously as they should, it can be just as vital as any physical practice, directly impacting your chances of success. This is especially the case in high-pressure situations where what’s happening inside your mind outweighs what’s happening outside. Your imagination shapes how you interpret the world around you and is capable of causing the same physiological (生理的) and emotional responses that are caused by external, real-life events. To take just one example, just as emotional pictures and sounds can cause the pupils to widen, so can emotional mental images in the mind.Another phenomenon highlighting the significance of the imagination is called functional equivalence, which refers to the way the brain doesn’t always distinguish between imagining an action and physically doing it. For instance, when athletes vividly imagine running a race or sinking a basket, their brain scans reveal that the same neural circuits (神经回路) are activated as if they were physically performing the task. Other research with athletes using functional MRI (磁共振成像) has shown that mental practice engages regions of the brain involved in controlling the body and also activates areas linked to focus, motivation and emotional regulation. The principle of functional equivalence extends beyond sports. In one study, pianists were asked to picture moving their fingers across the keys, hearing the tune, and seeing the sheet music. Astonishingly, the same motor areas in their brains lit up as when they actually played. Many studies like this have proved the connection between mental imagery and realworld performance. Whether you’re aiming to build confidence or prepare for a challenge, using your imagination with more intention could make all the difference. The key is to switch your mental channel to an image of capability, control and empowerment.28.How does the author start the text A.By giving a definition. B.By explaining an opinion.C.By presenting a context. D.By sharing an experience.29.In which aspect is mental imagery the same as actual occurrences according to the text A.Requiring body movements. B.Initiating visual stimulations.C.Affecting physical functions. D.Causing emotional responses.30.In which case may functional equivalence occur A.A learner conducts a discussion with a professor.B.A doctor envisions the procedure of an operation.C.A pianist videos finger movements for perfection.D.A speaker practices a deep breath before a speech.31.What can be a suitable title for the text A.Positive emotion brightens your life B.Mental imagery boosts your successC.Imagination enhances your creativity D.Physical practice unlocks your potentialDIt’s a classic complaint in relationships, especially romantic ones: “She said she was okay with me forgetting her birthday! Then why is she throwing dishes in the kitchen Are the two things related ”The answer is munication is more than words. It’s how those words are said, the tone, the order, even the choice of a particular word. It’s multi-dimensional, as explored by Deirdre Wilson and Dan Sperber in Meaning and Relevance. Consider the following example: Peter got angry and Mary left; Mary left and Peter got angry. Though identical in words, their meanings differ completely. The first one may have us thinking: Wow, Peter must get angry often if Mary leaves. The second sentence suggests that Peter wants more from Mary. Same words — a totally different context.Human language is not a code (编码). True codes have a one-to-one relationship with meaning. One sound, one definition. This is what we see with animals. Wilson and Sperber explain that “coded communication works best when emitter (发出者) and receiver share exactly the same code. ” Not so for humans. We communicate more than the definitions of our words would suggest. This is inferential communication, and it means that we understand not only the words spoken, but the context in which they are spoken.Irony (反语) is a great example of how powerfully we can communicate context with a few simple words. It is more than just stating the opposite. For example, when Mary says, after a boring party, “That was fun”, she is neither saying literally that the party was fun nor saying “ironically” that the party was boring. Rather, she is expressing an emotion. Three words replace paragraphs, showcasing language’s efficiency.Wilson and Sperber concluded that human language developed and became so powerful because of two unique abilities of humans: language and the power to try to interpret mental states of others. We look for context for the words we hear. And we should be very good at absorbing this context to infer meaning.32.What does the complaint in Paragraph 1 mainly indicate A.The inconsistence between words and meaning. B.The importance of remembering vital moments.C.The necessity of straightforward communication. D.The unavoidability of argument in a couple's life.33.What may make human language different from true codes A.The context included in understanding meanings.B.The definitions made by words in communication.C.The coded communication between emitter and receiver.D.The one-to-one relationship between word and meaning.34.How does Mary’s statement “That was fun” illustrate about irony A.It simplifies language to save time. B.It covers the true feelings of people.C.It needs wordy explanations to make sense. D.It uses fewer words for complex meanings.35.What does the author suggest in communication A.Focusing on the opposite. B.Taking language literally.C.Reading beyond the words. D.Avoiding using ironic tones.第二节(共 5 小题, 每小题 2.5 分, 满分 12.5 分)根据短文内容, 从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项, 选项中有两项为多余选项。请将答案写在答题卷上。Music and art have always been closely connected, with each influencing the other in important ways. Artists are increasingly integrating musical elements into their work, creating experiences that blur (模糊) the boundaries between the auditory and visual senses. One of the most striking examples of this trend is the rise of “sound art” which explores the relationship between sound and visual representation. Sound art combinations often involve large-scale, interactive sound environments. 36 They can create an environment where the viewer becomes an active participant in the artistic experience.37 This integration allows for a dynamic interplay between sound and image. The live performances add an element of naturalness and unpredictability to the exhibitions, making each visit a unique and unrepeatable experience. Moreover, the use of music in film and video art has also developed. Artists are now experimenting with soundscapes that extend beyond traditional narrative (叙述) structures, using music to arouse emotions and create atmosphere rather than simply underline plot points. 38Despite these innovations, some artists argue that the integration of music into art can sometimes have different effects from the primary visual message. 39 They believe that music should serve as a complement (补充) to the visual art, enhancing its effect rather than overshadowing it.To address this concern, many artists are now focusing on creating a more harmonious balance between music and visual art. 40 By carefully selecting and integrating musical elements, they aim to create works that are both visually striking and aurally (听觉上地) engaging, offering viewers a truly multisensory experience.A.The artist dislikes composing original music for the artworks.B.This special art form often challenges traditional ideas of storytelling.C.This trend highlights the importance of finding the right balance between them.D.These connections often use technology to transform sound in innovative ways.E.Another notable development is the integration of live music into art exhibitions.F.Instead,this does not mean that music should always give way to visual art.G.Critics have warned that the overuse of music can strongly impact the viewer's senses. It was a cold, rainy day, and I had no desire to drive up the winding mountain road to my daughter Carolyn’s house. My mother had a fixed idea that I would become a teacher, too. Although I respected her and was indeed skilled at teaching something to my little cousins, I didn’t agree that I should naturally follow in my mother’s footsteps. When I was a teenager, my mother happened to take me to a hospital which was run by one of her friends. It was the first time I had seen a busy medical environment in real life in person. Finding that I was curious about treating patients, my mother’s friend Dr. Lee offered me an opportunity to shadow him (跟他实地参观) for a day. I eagerly accepted his offer! Observing the doctors and nurses in action, I felt a mix of anxiety and excitement. Seeing the healing (治愈) process and the impact of medical care on patients was a profoundly moving experience. I figured being a doctor would be the most rewarding career in the world. From that day, a thought formed in my mind that I wanted to become a doctor, but I doubted whether my mother would support me. After all, it was a completely different path from what she had planned for me. Therefore, I kept the thought to myself, because I knew she would still insist on holding onto her previous idea.Anyway, besides discussing with my mother about teaching, I would often visit Dr. Lee’s hospital. Gradually, I got familiar with the medical equipment and procedures, and I learned a lot about healthcare, such as how to take vital signs (测生命体征), how to assist in minor surgeries, and so on. But what I had learned in the hospital just left me wanting more, so I decided to go to college to become a professional doctor.注意:1. 续写词数应为150左右;2. 请按如下格式在答题卡相应位置作答。This time I would not hide my desire any more.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________At the graduation ceremony, with my mother present, I, as “Excellent Graduate”, had to deliver a speech.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 展开更多...... 收起↑ 资源列表 成都七中万达学校高二上英语半期考试听力.mp3 成都七中万达学校高二上英语半期考试答案.docx 成都七中万达学校高二上英语半期考试试卷.docx
