Why is it important
The Palace Museum is in the center of Beijing. It is amazing.
It covers more than 720,000 square meters. It is 961 meters long from the north to the south, and 753 meters wide from the east to the west. It has more than 70 palaces and about 9,000 rooms. These buildings are made of wood. They look beautiful and grand.
When we visit it, we can see those amazing palaces, the old-style rooms. And there are also many cultural relics(文化遗迹), like ancient paintings and porcelain(瓷器). They can tell us a lot about history.
The Palace Museum is a symbol of Chinese history and culture. It helps us learn about the past and remember our great traditional culture. It’s also famous all over the world and attracts(吸引) lots of visitors to learn about China.
