Wang Shunyou was a postman in Muli County, Sichuan. He was born in 1965. At the age of 19, he took over his father's job as a postman. He went on foot in the mountains for years as a messenger.

What is the environment of the mountain and the valley
For each trip, Shunyou first had to climb a 5,000-metre-high mountain covered with snow and ice for six months of the year. There is no road. Then he had to go down to the Yalong River valley, which is 1,000 metres above sea level. Its temperature is sometimes as high as 40 degrees Celsius.

The Great Person in My Heart
The great person I admire most is Zhang Guimei, the founder of a free high school for girls in Yunnan. She was born in 1957 and has devoted her life to education in mountainous areas.
For over 40 years, she has been helping girls from poor families receive education. Despite her own health problems, she gets up at 5 am every day and works until late. She has visited countless families in the mountains to persuade parents to let their daughters go to school.
So far, her school has sent more than 2,000 girls to universities. This is amazing! Many of her students have become teachers, doctors, and scientists.
"Education for girls can change the future of three generations," she often says. Though she has no children of her own, she is a mother to all her students.
Her dedication and selflessness make her a true hero in my heart. She shows us how one person's persistence can make a big difference.
