A simile makes a comparison using the words “like”,“as”, “as if/though”, etc.(eg. A像B)
A metaphor makes the comparison directly, substituting one thing for another.(eg. A是B)

Hyperbole Part 3: 使用形容词, 副词, 或者介词短语
adv.:extremely, awfully, terribly, perfectly, horribly, etc.
adj.:miserable, horrible, splendid, etc.
例子:那儿很漂亮,就像天堂那般漂亮。
eg.: It’s beautiful, heavenly beautiful.
1. 她泪如泉涌地回家去了。
1. She went home in a flood of tears.
