1. 形容词和副词的比较级的构成
形容词、副词的比较级在形式上有一定的变化规律，分为规则变化和不规则变化。

一般在词尾加-er/-est tall→taller fast→faster tall→tallest fast→fastest
以不发音的字母e结尾的词，在词尾加-r/-st fine→finer late→later nice→nicer fine→finest

重读闭音节词词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写该辅音字母，再加-er/-est big→bigger fat→fatter thin→thinner big→biggest

1. 形容词和副词的比较级的构成

以“辅音字母+y”结尾的双音节词，先把“y”改为“i”, 再加-er lazy→lazier; early→earlier lazy→laziest;

有些形容词和副词的比较级的构成属于不规则变化，需要大家用心记忆。如：bad/badly →worse→worst，

不规则变化
1. 表示两者(人或事物)的比较，常用句型为“比较级+than+比较的对象”。
e.g. He works harder than his brother.
2. 形容词和副词的比较级可以单独使用。
e.g. My sister is tall, but my cousin is taller.
3. 形容词和副词的比较级前可以用a little，much等修饰。
e.g. Tom is a little / much shorter than Tim.
4. ...+比较级 + than any other + 单数名词 ……比其他的任
何……都……
e.g. It’s better than any other place.

The Most Beautiful Place in My Eyes: Jiuzhaigou
The most amazing natural place in China is Jiuzhaigou Valley in Sichuan. This beautiful area looks like a colorful fairyland.
Jiuzhaigou has clear blue lakes called “Fairy Ponds.” The water is so clean that you can see the stones and fallen trees at the bottom. The lakes change colors from light green to deep blue, depending on the sunlight. There are also tall waterfalls, like the Nuorilang Waterfall. When water crashes down, it makes a loud, exciting sound and creates a misty rainbow.
Around the lakes, there are mountains covered with green forests. In autumn, the leaves turn red, yellow, and orange, making the whole valley look like a painted picture. I love Jiuzhaigou because it’s like stepping into a storybook. The fresh air, the sound of flowing water, and the beautiful scenery make me feel relaxed and happy. It’s truly the most beautiful natural wonder in China!
