Scotland is a beautiful country in the northern part of the united Kingdom. It’s famous for its green mountains, deep blue lakes (called "lochs（尼斯湖）"), and ancient castles. The capital city is Edinburgh, where you can see a huge volcano-shaped (火山形)hill called Arthur’s Seat（亚瑟王座）.

Last autumn, my family took a train to Scotland for a holiday. We stayed in a comfortable house in the countryside with beautiful scenery. I live in a big city, so everything seemed so different. For example, beside the house, there was a huge forest.
On the last day, early in the morning, I went to the forest to explore. While there, something made a noise. I turned around and was surprised to see a deer.
I ran home and told my parents what I saw. My mum smiled and said, “The deer is probably looking for food and hoping to get some from you.” What a wonderful experience I had! I really hope I can go back again.

Let’s write
Last summer vacation, I went to Hainan with my parents. The weather there was sunny. As soon as I got there, I fell in love with the beautiful sea and sandy beaches.
First, I quickly jumped into the sea to swim. The cool water made me feel like a happy fish. Then, I played beach volleyball with some new friends. We had a great time, laughing and shouting. After that, I visited a local restaurant and ate lots of yummy seafood. Each bite was full of the sea’s taste.
During this trip, I was really excited and relaxed. From this experience, I learned that different places have different views and cultures. We should go out and see more. It was a really fun and special holiday.

While there = While (主语 + be 动词) there
这种省略结构在英语中很常见，条件是主句和从句的主语一致
