人称代词——宾格(Personal pronouns — objective case):
人称代词有主格和宾格之分,主格常在句中作主语;宾格常在句中作宾语、表语、同位语等;常位于动词或介词之后。人称代词的主格和宾格形式见下表:

1. 宾格人称代词在句中用来指代人、动物或事物。
His brother is a kind boy. Everyone in the class likes him.
他的哥哥是个善良的男孩,班里每个人都喜欢他。
I found a cute cat on the street. Let’s help it find its owner.
我在街上发现一只可爱的小猫,我们帮它找到主人吧。
2. 人称代词宾格在句中用作及物动词或者介词的宾语。
There’s a letter on the desk. Is it for him 桌子上有一封信,是给他的吗?
I made a birthday card yesterday. I will give her the card tomorrow.

The present continuous tense

现在进行时(The present continuous tense)
1. 基本结构:be(am/is/are)+动词-ing
2. 动词-ing形式的变化规则
一般情况直接加-ing look → looking、work → working
以不发音的字母 e 结尾:去 e 加 -ing take → taking、write → writing、dance → dancing
以“辅音字母+元音字母+辅音字母”结尾的重读闭音节动词如果末尾只有一个辅音字母,要双写这个辅音字母,再加-ing shop → shopping、sit → sitting、plan → planning
以 ie 结尾的动词:变 ie 为 y 加-ing lie → lying、tie → tying、die → dying

(1)单音节动词以 w、x、y 结尾(辅 + 元 + 辅):不双写,直接加-ing
draw → drawing、fix → fixing
(2)非重读闭音节(辅 + 元 + 辅):不双写,直接加 -ing

3. 句式结构
(1)肯定句:主语+am/is/are +动词-ing 形式+其他.
She is playing the piano. 她正在弹钢琴。
(2)否定句:主语+ am/is/are + not +动词 -ing 形式+其他.
I am not doing my homework. 我没在做作业。

(3)一般疑问句及答语:Am/Is/Are + 主语+动词 -ing 形式+其他
肯定回答:Yes,主语+am/is/are.
否定回答:No,主语+am/is/are not.
— Are they cleaning the room 他们在打扫房间吗?
— Yes, they are./No, they aren’t.
(4)特殊疑问句:What + am/is/are +主语+doing +其他
回答需具体说明,不能用 Yes/No。
—What are you doing 你正在做什么?
—I’m listening to music. 我正在听音乐。

4. 用法
(1)描述“此时此刻”正在发生的动作,常与 now, look, listen, at the moment等词连用。
Look! They are flying kites in the park. 看!他们正在公园放风筝。
I’m talking on the phone now. 我现在正在打电话。
(2)描述“现阶段”持续进行的动作(不一定此时此刻正在做),常与 these days(这些天)、this week(这一周)、recently(最近)等词连用。
We are preparing for the exam this week. 这一周我们正在准备考试。
(3)描述 “按计划、安排即将发生” 的动作(限于表位移 / 活动的动词)。
常用动词:go(去)、come(来)、leave(离开)、arrive(到达)
They are going to Beijing tomorrow. 他们明天要去北京。
My cousin is coming to see me next Sunday. 我表哥下周日要来看我。

use 作动词,意为“用;使用”。use sth. to do sth. 相当于 use sth. for doing sth.,都意为“用某物做某事”。
I use my pen for writing a letter. 我用我的钢笔是为了写信。
be used to doing sth. 习惯于做某事
My father is used to drinking tea in the morning. 我爸爸习惯于早上喝茶。
used to do sth. 过去常常做某事(现在不做了)
I used to play football with my friends after school. 我过去常常放学后和朋友们踢足球。
2. The sunny weather makes us warm. 阳光充足的天气让我们感到温暖。
make作为及物动词,意为“使变得……;使觉得……”,后跟复合宾语。
make sb./sth. + adj. 使某人/某物变得/觉得……。
Listening to music makes me happy. 听音乐让我感到开心。
make sb./sth. + n. 使某人成为……。
Her kindness made her a popular teacher. 她的善良使她成为一位受欢迎的老师。
make作为实义动词时,make friends with sb.(和某人交朋友)、make sth. for sb.= make sb. sth.(为某人制作某物)
She made friends with Lily when they were in primary school.
她和莉莉小学时就成了朋友。
