Verbs are words that express actions or states of being.
(vt.)---Transitive verbs

(linking v.)---Linking verbs
可直接接宾语的动词，其动作需加上宾语对象。
指不能直接接宾语的动词类型，可单独使用，需添加介词才能接宾语。
须与表语（如名词、形容词）共同构成系表结构，以说明主语的状态、性质、特征或身份等。

The basic parts of a sentence are the subject (S), the verb (V) and (often , but not always) the object (O).
The basic structure of a sentence with a transitive verb is “S + V + O”.
